A good film holds the powder cleanly on the printed areas without clumping or sticking to non-printed zones.
Next comes the melt stage. We move the sheet into a curing oven where the powder needs to melt into a smooth, semi-gloss layer without bubbling, scorching, or uneven flow. The melt point and flow consistency of the powder on this particular film grade are what we are looking at here — if the film cannot handle the heat cycle, you will see warping or shrinkage right away.
After curing, we let the sheet cool and then run the adhesion check. We look at how firmly the melted powder bonds to the ink layer, whether there is any peeling at the edges, and how the transfer feels to the touch. The final step is a quick press onto a cotton T-shirt to confirm the transfer releases cleanly and the wash feel is soft, not rubbery.
